"We need to barricade the door" Willow said as she started trying to push and pull things over to the door, realising that she couldn't Willow started using magic. "I wish this worked as well on the zombies as it does on everything else" she muttered to herself.
She then turned to the man who had come inside with them "Who are you?" She asked.

Merlin watched, dumbstruck, as the young woman begun using magic to barricade the doors to Stark Tower.
"You...have magic too? No, wait, that's not important right now." He cut himself off, before beginning to help block up the door.
"Uh, I'm Merlin. Merlin Emrys. I was looking for other survivors, and heading towards the tallest building in sight was my best bet." He gave a weak smile as he introduced himself.

Peter waved a little adorably. "Peter Parker. I'm, um, Spiderman? Guess that's a little late now, though," he sighed, almost looking as though he wanted to climb up into the corner of the room and hide.

Darcy became alert at hearing yelling from some way off, picking up some binoculars and trying to spot anything but only seeing a hoard of walkers. She swerved around, looking up at Stark Tower with her lips pressed tightly together and a frown on her brow.
"Tesla. I think we should go outside," She got up from the floor, sneaking around and taking books and books out of her satchel, instead placing a few tins of baked beans and cold vegetable curry in there, along with a can of warm cola and two tins of tuna. She placed it around her shoulder, then collected a backpack, placing a compressed jumper inside and then carefully lifting the ragdoll cat inside (Tesla objected, hissing and thrashing a little but he calmed after a while). The woman zipped up the waterproof jacket, putting the backpack with the cat head sticking out of the top, collecting her taser and moving a few boards from her door.
"Goodbye apartment," Darcy mumbled with a tone of nostalgia, she would miss this place. Opening the door, Darcy Lewis began her journey to the outside world.

"Yes have magic, I'm guess you do too?" Willow replied, smiling at Merlin. Maybe together they'd be able to find a spell that could work against zombies, it didn't seem likely but maybe they could. "I forgot to introduce myself. My name's Willow"
She then turned to Peter "Wait, you're Spiderman?" Willow said, sounding surprised.

"Nice to meet you, Peter." Merlin mustered a smile, picking up on the others' apparent uneasiness. Satisfied with the effort he had put into helping barricade the door, he sat cross-legged on the floor, muscles sighing in relief as the weight of his large rucksack was alleviated.
Merlin turned back to Willow. "Yes - yeah I do. Not that it's been of much use yet."
Opening his rucksack, Merlin rummaged blindly before finding what he had been looking for; a bottle of water. Running through the city had really taken it out of him, as much as he didn't want to admit to such physical inadequacy. Halfway through a mouthful, Merlin realised he was being inconsiderate. "Would either of you like a drink? It's lukewarm, I'm afraid." He asked, looking to both Peter and Willow.

"Uh, yeah," he agreed a little jerkily. "Kinda not much use now..." he trailed off, watching the two magic users interact with curiosity. He had never heard of magic outside of fiction, but here it was.

"Yes please" Willow said to Merlin as she picked up the bottle and drank from it, careful not to drink too much so there would be enough for the others. "Do you know where we could find food?" She asked.
Then she remembered something, "there was someone else in here earlier. A man, he was here before you ran back outside" she looked at Peter "do you have any idea who it was?"

Amy nearly jumped when she heard the footsteps in front of the house. No. Not yet. This was too soon. They couldn't have found her again already. Quickly, she moved towards the window to see if it wasn't maybe just another survivor. But luck didn't seem to be on her side today.

"To be honest, I don't know the city well at all." Merlin shrugged in answer to Willow's question. "I looked in a couple of abandoned apartments and emptied their kitchen cupboards, but I wouldn't know of anywhere else to get food other than that."
He turned back to Peter at the mention of another survivor, sighing in relief. It seems he'd had the right idea by heading to Stark Tower after all.

The street outside Darcy's apartment seemed to be deserted but she knew better. Taser gripped so tight her knuckles were white, Darcy backed up and actually went to the back, looking at the gardens that spanned outwards behind homes. Zombies couldn't open doors, and maybe this would give her an advantage of hiding. "Hold tight Tesla," Darcy put the gun into her bag and ran at the fence, pushing down on the wood with her hands and jumping over into the garden next door. The hissing from her back was ignored, she crept to the next fence and did the same, trying to make as little sounds as possible.

There was ten of them. Ten was alright in comparison, she'd had worse, but still, the knowledge of ten zombies on their way to your hiding place is not a nice one. Just as she turned towards the window to run, she had an idea. In a rush, she rummaged through her backpack for the lighter she knew was always in there, though hardly ever used. When she finally found it, the zombies had already reached the foot of the stairs. Just as the first one's foot hit the tripwire, she lit the sun oil. It blazed with a darting flame, and Amy tardily managed to pull her hand back while the burning oil was now spilling down the stairs like a giant avalanche of flames. Silently swearing, she turned to run. The fire would not keep them from going after her, and having burning zombies chase you probably wouldn't be much of an improvement for the moment, but eventually it would kill them. She just had to keep running for long enough.
